This is my favourite test for glaucoma as it detects early disease long before visual field problems are detected. The whole rationale of glaucoma treatment is to prevent visual field loss since you can’t get back what you have lost. I now prefer OCT to HRT and usuallly carry out the test at your visit and at yearly intervals. You need to bring someone with you when you have test as your pupils will be dilated.
