Corneal graft surgery in Kent

I have recently teamed up with Romaine de Koch at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital to share ideas on patient management and surgical technique. We hope our collaboration will replicate the “corridor education” we both miss from our training days at Moorfields Eye Hospital. This initiative, in which we hope eventually to be able to operate on our patients on both sites, should encourage the development of new or improved surgical techniques to the benefit of our patients. Today, I went to Canterbury, where we operated on a patient of mine from Maidstone with an extremely complex corneal problem. The colloborative approach was hugely rewarding personally and, I am sure, a much better way to manage patients with complicated ocular disease.
